On October 15, 2014 Dicarina joined forces with a group of partners and created Banco de Alimentos Panamá. During these 3 years, BAP has rescued 2,290 tons of food that, due to marketing policies and standards, would have been discarded. This food was then distributed by 240 organizations to 59,181 people, a huge achievement for such a short time period.
Today, Dicarina continues to support BAP through monthly donations of food (dry and refrigerated), personal hygiene and cleaning products, helping many communities and reaching those in need.
Dicarina shares knowledge by participating in events at the Universidad Tecnológica de Panama, helping enrich our youth and our country’s future. We have been part of in many conferences, such as the Industrial Engineering and Logistics Congress Symposium in 2017.

Logistics growth contribution: We were part of the Urban Logistics Workshop at Georgia Tech University in Panama. The purpose of these workshops is to increase knowledge-sharing of Panama’s logistics situation and provide solutions to common problems in this area.
